Hamburger Dressing Casserole

Equipment

  • Large pot

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 soup cans water or chicken broth
  • 5 cups seasoned bread cubes or croutons the kind you use in your turkey dressing

Instructions

  • In a large pot, brown hamburger and onion; drain off fat.
  • Add the soups and water and mix.
  • Butter a large baking dish and spread the bread cubes evenly.
  • Pour the soup and meat mixture evenly over the top of the bread cubes, adding a bit more water if you like your dressing moist.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned on top.
