Instructions
Brown the Italian pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain, reserving one tablespoon of drippings in the skillet.
Add thinly sliced zucchini to the skillet; season with salt and pepper.
Sauté until the zucchini is tender and golden, about 10 minutes.
Stir in whole tomatoes with their juice and sugar; bring to a boil, breaking up the tomatoes with a spoon.
Return the browned sausage to the skillet and reduce heat to low.
Cover and cook until heated through, about 5 to 6 minutes.
Serve the sausage and zucchini mixture over cooked ziti pasta.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese as a garnish.
